WE'RE REALLY PROUD OF JONIQUE AND THE GOOD CHOICES SHE IS MAKING!

She is counting the days until she is 19 years old (23, to be exact) and is going to Cedar City, UT next month to look at the George Wythe College for next year. She is the miracle in Weston's life - - and his bishop says that when Weston gets his mission call, it will definately be Jonique's mission call! She goes to Chandler Gilbert College 5 days a week (no one told her she could schedule less days), has recently quit her job at Dinner-by-Design (since they didn't pay her) has been helping dad and mom do "tree labor" at the Queen Creek house, and works for Ryan when he has stacks for her to do. In her spare time she hangs out with Weston and Hillary and miscellaneous massage school friends - - and plays cards with mom (to keep mom's brain working). Her favorite phrase is "That's true"! She wants to go to the Sand Dunes for Thanksgiving (not to Utah!).

This is Heather Arnita (Geer). It's fun to see the pictures of your family. It's exciting to hear that Jonique is thinking about going to George Wythe College. We are homeschooling our kids and following the Thomas Jefferson Education Method. We love it.; October 30, 2007 at 4:10 PM

Gurney Family Proclamation

We, the Gurneys, are an eternally organized family who chose to leave God's presence to receive mortal bodies, and have covenanted to live worthily to return to Him again.

We love, honor and respect our Father in Heaven, ourselves and all people and creations.

We obey Christ's teachings, follow the living Prophets and seek for personal revelation and guidance through faith, prayer and scripture study.

We work hard, are honest in all our dealings, we repent of our errors (through the Atonement of our Savior) and forgive others for their wrongdoings as we seek always for that which is positive and uplifting.

We honor the awesome power and authority of the Priesthood, we will receive all needed ordinances and we will receive and keep all temple covenants.

We seek for wholesome influences, associations, service opportunities and will create memorable family activities that unite and strengthen us - - while adding fulfillment and happiness to our Earthly lives.

I AM A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

The decision has been made, I have stepped over the line. The dye has been cast - - I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I won't look back, let up, slow down or be still.

My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.

I'm finished and done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, positions, promotions, plaudits or popularity.

I don't have to be first, right, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded.

I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power.

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven.

My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear.

I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, stay quiet, or let up - until I have stayed up, stored up, and paid up for the cause of Christ.

I will work 'til He comes, give 'til I drop, teach all I know, and work 'til He stops me - and -

when He returnes (which He will) He will have no problem recognizing me - I will be like Him.
