There is no way to express how much I LOVE the time we get to share at Lake Powell! It's so wonderful to have the world put aside, and for us to have pure, undiluted time together! Thank you for all of your efforts to be together! It carries me through the times of separation, and when I have long, hard hours of work away from each of you! I love you all so much! I hope that next year things will work for Rory and Heather's family to be with us - but for now, we're just so happy that they are able to be together again - and that they were blessed to have their Texas home sold, to buy an Arizona home at such a great price, and for Rory to have a great job! Thank you, Heavenly Father, for more miracles and answers to prayers!

We seem to always get amazing beaches for the kids to play in the sand, and with the little ones now, it's so important! Brailyn and Xelly surely were little water and sand bugs - loving every minute of it! I'm so proud of all of you as parents, for how you love and care for your children! Your children are taught well, are not spoiled, and are grateful - always expressing thanks for everything that we do for them. Thank you for making being grandparents such a great experience!

These older grandkids are so great to play together, even without cousins their ages. It is so fun now that they can play do so many things, and are so capable! I loved how Devanie chose scriptures 2 different days that created teaching moments, and I loved listening to their prayers, where they really know how to talk to Heavenly Father. Thank you for teaching them about Him, and about faith, and about gratitude!

I also love how you fathers take time to teach your kids, and to help them have good experiences. This hike that Ryan and Zan took to the top of the hill to watch the incoming storm was a cool memory in my heart. Further down, you will see the big picture, with the women and girls talking on the beach, and Ryan and Zan up above.

This is the life! Parents, kids, sunshine, sand, sparkling water, and nothing to do but enjoy each other! I like Riley's "designer sunshirt", and note that he is Brailyn's "designer umbrella"!

We were so excited that Richard was able to come to Powell this year, as last year just wasn't the same without him! I realized this year that with all you big, capable boys and dad, that there are a lot of things that I haven't had to do for years! Thank you for being such hard workers, and so capable at everything! This guy is the water balloon target - and our favorite "single" son! Taylor's fishing obsession, left some quiet moments for Richard to chill and to tan - until we got enough water balloons filled to blast him!

So cute, and Roxie is a great babysitter! Brailyn thought she was pretty cool too - and both of them had so much fun! Roxie said she is going to be a awesome mother when she grows up - and I believe her!

I caught this picture just before Xelly decided to taste the sand, and after that I ran to get Jonique's camera. Jonique found some special places on the hill where there was signal, so she could text and talk to Jacob, since he was interviewing for a new job. Yeah, another miracle, and another family with a job - he got hired, and drove up to Powell to be with his family!

Yep, this is my honey! We LOVE riding jetskis together, making waves, and he loves to soak me! He knows that I'm not a good behind-the-driver-kind-of-wife, and that I like to ride my own quad or jetski, so I'm thankful that he understands. I do like to sit in the passenger seat with him in trucks and cars while he drives, but when we play, I like to play! I never was much of a "watcher" of fun - but like to be in the middle of it!

This is the end of a family outing to the island on the other side of this bay, and I thought this was such a cute pictures of Maddaux hanging onto the canoe while his parents were paddling. The other kids were at the side swimming all the way back to the houseboat, and after that they went down the slide.

This was our first campsite, where we built the waterslide down Sand Mountain. Our GURNEY name is in the mountain above, and Beach's name is further up the mountain. Zander climbed the huge sand mountain so many times that I could not believe it was possible! Roxie went a lot also, but I only went 3/4 of the way one time, and it was enough for me! Zander is a real athlete, runner, and now a soccer player! Awesome fitness!

This is a cool picture before the storm!

There was quite some fishing success, especially by Taylor Frost! I'm guessing that Riley caught this one, but I lost track of who caught what. I was so amazed at Riley as a dad, with a little Brailyn who is teething, and how he tends and nurtures his little girl! Actually, how he tends and nurtures both of his little girls! Ashley and him are such cute parents, and I have seen them do so many good things for others that my heart is really touched by their goodness. I'm going to post some of dad's pictures next - but finally - here are these to enjoy! Sending love to all from Mom and Grandma!
