BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS GALORE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OF YOU SPECIAL PEOPLE! RYAN - JACOB - DEVANIE - MADDAUX! AND ZANDER'S BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP REALLY FAST!

Cambria prepared a huge birthday barbeque for her bunch - and it was a houseful of kids, parents, grandparents and even Grandma Gurney. We ate so much - and the kids played and had a ball! Maddaux was so thrilled with every gift that he opened (his face and his voice showed it), and Devanie was a true princess - so gracious and grateful for everything.

Jonique invited us all to Moreno's Mexican food to celebrate Jacob's birthday - close to their home. Afterwards we went to their home for Jacob to open gifts and for cupcakes and brownies. Now Jacob and Ryan share birthdays - 10 years apart in age! Ryan has been suffering with back problems so Cambria spent the day with him - driving him to do bids, eating out and just enjoying the day together!

Gurney Family Proclamation

We, the Gurneys, are an eternally organized family who chose to leave God's presence to receive mortal bodies, and have covenanted to live worthily to return to Him again.

We love, honor and respect our Father in Heaven, ourselves and all people and creations.

We obey Christ's teachings, follow the living Prophets and seek for personal revelation and guidance through faith, prayer and scripture study.

We work hard, are honest in all our dealings, we repent of our errors (through the Atonement of our Savior) and forgive others for their wrongdoings as we seek always for that which is positive and uplifting.

We honor the awesome power and authority of the Priesthood, we will receive all needed ordinances and we will receive and keep all temple covenants.

We seek for wholesome influences, associations, service opportunities and will create memorable family activities that unite and strengthen us - - while adding fulfillment and happiness to our Earthly lives.

I AM A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

The decision has been made, I have stepped over the line. The dye has been cast - - I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I won't look back, let up, slow down or be still.

My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.

I'm finished and done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, positions, promotions, plaudits or popularity.

I don't have to be first, right, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded.

I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power.

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven.

My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear.

I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, stay quiet, or let up - until I have stayed up, stored up, and paid up for the cause of Christ.

I will work 'til He comes, give 'til I drop, teach all I know, and work 'til He stops me - and -

when He returnes (which He will) He will have no problem recognizing me - I will be like Him.
